The Potter Family Extravaganza Show!
BOHO Art by Potter: New art from the Potter Family
Tim Potter is the whimsical creator of intricate and enchanting black on white, white on black etching-drawings of sea creatures. He has a new show of charming orcas, octopi and jellyfish cavorting in harmonious patterns that are completely unique, bold and beautiful.
Tonah and Amy Potter, mother and daughter, have collaborated to create miniature art trees inspired by traditional bonsai trees from Japan. Their “Dream Trees” are lovingly sculpted in paper clay, set in ceramic pots and embellished with glass, silver and feather hangings. Tiny sculpted birds perch on the colorful branches. The pleasure that mother and daughter have had creating together infuses their “Dream Trees” with a special grace.
Amy has also designed and created window art from the soft colors of beach glass beads and silver charms. Themes from the garden and the ocean hang on silver chains and capture sunlight, gently swirling with the breeze and brightening any window looking out on a gray March on Whidbey Island.
The Potter family is delighted to share their joy in creating new art with their Whidbey Island friends.
