Here is a tiny red rose pincushion made of merino wool with a process called needle felting. The artist tangles the wool fibers with a special barbed needle. She pierces the wool over and over until she sculpts just the shapes she wants. Each petal is formed in this way, and they joined together, again with a felting needle. The realistic red rose is secured in a tiny crystal salt cellar and ready to sit on your sewing or dressing table to hold sewing pins or needles.
These tiny felted treasures are recommended for older children and adult collectors. Keep your felted artwork out of direct sunlight; should it be necessary, brush off any dust or lint with a tiny artists’ paintbrush.
