Kathleen created this piece through Nuno-felting, the process of marrying wool with silk by using water and soap, patience, and a gentle touch; later, more vigorous felting occurs before the rinsing and final shaping. I hand-stitched seed beads to finish. My 3rd Nuno-felted piece.

Wool does not attract dust the way other surfaces do: periodically gently “thwack” your vessel against your knee to shake off any dust that may accumulate. Spot clean if necessary; if the whole piece should become soiled, immerse in cool water with a little mild soap, soak 15 minutes, rinse in cool water, spin on low in the washer (no agitation or wringing), reshape, then air dry.
