Maria Esther Sund I work in mixed media and combine emotional content, reinvention, my own observation and my technical skills. I end up working on for or five paintings at a time. I create surfaces that are visually intriguing and myserious with expressive colors and forms. My paintings have many layers of paint and collage papers. I begin painting layers on paper or canvas, then I collage papers over the paint then paint over the paper util I have a rich texture. I create my own cultural history and at the same time let the viewer create a personal history. With my work I want people to feel something unique to them. --Maria-Esther |
