“Life is a process I have come to understand as a constantly unfolding event. Each moment is the only time I have, the next one remains unseen until it arrives. For most of my years, that reality stopped me from actually living. I created escapes and barriers to keep me protected, pushing away people and experiences that could be emotionally or spiritually uncertain. Anything potentially threatening was to be avoided, ignored or considered dangerous. I never really lived during those years. I have come to believe that all I really have is this moment now. If I dwell on the possible wreckage of my future, there will never be joy in my life. The unknown can seem either frightening and chaotic, or an opportunity to experience something wonderful and enlightening. It’s my choice, fear and pain, or hope and joy. No matter which I choose, the next breath will take me into the unknown.” ~ Windwalker
