Story: People in that corner of the States don’t talk about them much. A whisper, a rumor. Northwest folks hate to be laughed at. I admit I was chuckling at the tale myself as I sailed the Sound. It wasn’t enough that the waters are filled with islands! I saw a floating one with my own two eyes. It was a rare clear Northwest morning, an Island drifting – yes, drifting through the air currents above the water. If only I could have sprouted wings, I would have, so badly did I want to drift with the people waving at me as they floated by. Someday…
